Consignment Sale Merkel 200E 16 Gauge
For sale in our shop is this classic German O/U shotgun. We've had this guy for a little while now, but we spoke to the Consigner and they have agreed to lower the price!
That being the case this is an excellent chance to own a historical over and under shotgun! This Merkel 200E is still in great condition. The blueing remains deep apart from slight fading near the front ring. The receiver finish is in extremely good condition, with the engraving remaining strong on all sides, and especially the bottom of the receiver.
The wood, while showing signs of ageing, is doing so with more of a patina than anything else. However there are some noticeable nicks and scratches.
The main thing to note is the buttpad. At some point in its long lifetime this had its stock cut and a buttpad fitted. Since then it has heavily deteriorated as seen in the pictures.
