"Serial No. AD34928, manufactured circa early 1890, 8mm Lebel, 31.5"" round barrel. A desirable early-production Lebel rifle, this example remains matching on the stock, bolt, trigger guard, and receiver. The bore is very good, exhibiting strong rifling with only light age-appropriate wear. The right side of the barrel is correctly marked “MA C 1890" (Manufacture d’Armes de Châtellerault), confirming its early manufacture. Stock shows honest handling and field use, with arsenal repairs visible—typical of rifles that saw extended service through the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Metal surfaces remain consistent with age, and the action is smooth and functions correctly. A rare, antique, and fully matching Model 1886 Lebel—an increasingly hard-to-find example from the first generation of smokeless-powder military rifles.
