"Serial No. 49571, manufactured early 1875. Chambered in .45-70 Government, this rifle features a 32 ½" round barrel. Metal surfaces show a smooth light grey patina, with crisp factory markings remaining on the breech and lock plate. This example is fitted with the early high-arch breech block, a correct feature for the 1875 production window. The stock exhibits light handling wear and retains a faint outline of the original ESA cartouche on the left wrist. Action is tight and functions correctly.
