This specimen the Marlin Model 70P is an early version of the Marlin model. The Marlin Model 70P, commonly known as the “Papoose,” is a semi-automatic .22 Long Rifle takedown carbine designed for easy portability and outdoor use. It breaks down into two pieces (barrel and receiver) for compact storage and transport — making it popular with hikers, campers, and survivalists much like the AR-7 rifle.
