This is an absolutely gorgeous example of a WWII 1911 Ithaca pistol with it original box!
Made late in WWII, it appears unissued with 99.9% of its original parkerizing intact. The slight color variation on the slide is due to the fact that the front section of the slide was hardened on WWII 1911 pistols in order to prevent cracking and shows as a darker hue when parkerizing was applied and when the gun is oiled. The gun has no wear to speak of - may be a hint of "box wear" that is impossible to photograph. The original box is a rarity in itself, as Ithaca boxes were made differently from Colt and RR boxes and has a "lip" on the bottom portion of the box.
This is a pristine example of a WWII US military pistol that would be impossible to upgrade!
