The serial number 86213 indicates the gun was originally built around 1910, it likely underwent a significant change and was re-proofed 59 years later (based on barrel markings). This Webley & Scott is a "best of both worlds" firearm: it retains the classic 1910 craftsmanship of the Birmingham factory but has the added safety assurance of a modern nitro proofing from 1969. It is certified for modern 2¾-inch (70mm) shells. 12 Gauge
