Antique Colt Frontier Six Shooter Single Action Army revolver chambered in .44-40 Winchester. Earlier blackpowder variant with acid etched panel "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" marking on the barrel. Officially replaced by the Colt factory in the mid-120,000 serial number range with the much easier to produce and larger roll-marked barrel stamping. Comes with a factory letter stating that the revolver was shipped to Hartley & Graham, New York on 4 May 1888. No accessories. .44-40 Winchester
