About Us: I am a 79-year-old minor-league collector and target shooter of mostly Remington and Smith & Wesson products. I also shot trap competitively for 24 years, was Pennsylvania State Class AA Champion in 2000 and was handicapped to 27 yards. Any firearm I offer for sale here will be in like-new condition unless specified otherwise. I do not "flip" firearms - that is, buy today just to sell tomorrow. I write for two monthly magazines, Shotgun Sports Magazine and Pennsylvania Game News, the official publication of the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Description:
The Model 700 LSS was basically a stainless steel Model 700 BDL in a grey laminated stock. The LSS was discontinued in 2008 and that was the only year it was offered in this chambering which was my reasoning for purchasing it new in 2009. I fired one box of Weatherby factory loads in it to season the barrel and then retired it to one of my temperature- and humidity-controlled safes. I'm just not a huge fan of belted magnums. I did measure its last group, which was the only five-shot one, at 0.779" at 100 yards.
I am selling it in its box with its hang tags, owner's manual and original bill of sale. I don't sell many guns; the last one was also a bolt-action rifle and the shipping cost was $75.00 so I will use that amount for this rifle - unless, of course, you are close enough to south-central Pennsylvania for an in-person transaction.If you should desire other photo views, just ask.
