Description:
Officially referred to as the Harpers Ferry Pattern. Features all brass furniture including a patch box, two bands, forend tip, trigger guard, and US stamped buttplate. Blued barrel, two leaf folding military rear sight, metal rod, two swivels, case color lock and hammer, and US Eagle Remington legend. The barrel breech is stamped with VP eagle head proof, dated 1863, and a "DO 440" rack stamp. The left barrel breech is stamped "STEEL" along with "R.K.A." for Remick K. Arnold. The left side of stock has a script "BH" cartouche for Benjamin Harris. CONDITION: Appears to be unissued. Barrel retains nearly all its original arsenal blue finish. All brass is nicely toned. Case colors are present but darkened. All legends are crisp. Stock is superb with minor impressions. Mechanically sound. Bore is mirror bright. Nipple is crisp. Also comes with a brass mounted bayonet and scabbard.
