This Marlin has no visible serial number, however there is a letter code AL which means it was manufactured January of 1968, the 99M1 is recognized as a fun, lightweight, and nostalgic rifle that is highly regarded by collectors. Often equipped with adjustable rear sights and hooded front sights. This firearm is styled after the military M1 Carbine.
The Marlin features an 18-inch barrel, walnut stock, and tubular magazine. It is popular, accurate collector‚s piece related to the Model 60, often featuring Micro-Groove rifling. The Marlin 99M1 is considered a more refined, early version of the Marlin Model 60.
