Description:
This is a 19th century WILKINSON, SHEFFIELD "LIBERTY", made for the American market, Bowie knife. Has a 6 ¼" clip point steel blade with faceted back edge in good+ condition with light speckling. The black gutta-percha grip are decorated each side with figure of Liberty and "LIBERTY" legend with shield. These grips are made of early type plastic and are curling slightly at the guard end. Stamped on ricasso W.WILKINSON & SON SHEFFIELD. Brass guard. Overall length 10".;
