Japanese Arisaka Type 38 bolt-action rifle chambered in 6.5×50mm Arisaka.
Original WWII Imperial Japanese service rifle featuring an intact Imperial Chrysanthemum (“mum”) marking on the receiver.
This rifle has been sporterized post-war, a common conversion, with a modified stock and recoil pad. The original Type 38 action, bolt, extractor, safety, and military rear sight remain intact. Action is smooth and solid. Bore appears serviceable for its age.
The intact mum adds historical and collector interest, as many examples were defaced at the end of WWII. A solid example of a classic Japanese military rifle suitable for a collector, historical display, or vintage shooter project.
