Payment Types Accepted: Personal or Company Check (held for 10 days), Money Order, Certified Check Description: Extremely Rare Winchester Model 62A "Gallery Gun" Mfg. 1959, "Plain Winchester Roll Stamp" Description: Selling rare and fine Pre-64 Winchester's from a friend’s personal collection.  This is one of several that will be listed soon. You are looking at an excellent condition, factory original, Winchester Model 62A (Gallery Gun), Mfg. 1959, caliber 22 short, 23” round BBL, exceptional bore. This Model 62A Gallery Gun is the rarest of the 62A Gallery's with it's roll stamping on the receiver due to it being "Plain Roll Stamping" and not color like red, blue, etc.  Extremely rare to find them. Correct 23" round BBL (.217 correct bore diameter),  FACTORY CORRECT TRIANGULAR LOADING PORT, original gallery Winchester counter tie-down spring; 16 groove fore-end, Winchester trademark plain roll dye on left side of receiver as stated above, Winchester plastic butt plate, and it also has a factory correct Winchester gallery loading tube which are very hard to find. This beautiful Model 62A Gallery rifle has the correct Winchester proof marks. The finish on this gun is extremely nice, the stock set is in exceptional condition with correct original "proud wood" at the factory plastic butt plate as you can see from the pictures..  Bluing is fantastic with one exception, a small finger nail sized area at the bore/bottom of the barrel has rubbed off, possibly from the carnival counter it was attached to..    Summary information on this rifle: Bore is excellent Bluing and walnut wood set in excellent shape Has extremely rare factory correct counter tie-down spring (you can see these in the period Winchester catalogs) Has extremely rare "Winchester Stamped" factory loading tube perfectly engineered to fit the triangular loading port. Winchester proof marks positioned correctly A wonderful and rare piece to add to any personal Winchester collection.   This rifle was manufactured in 1959.
