Colt Model 1860 Army 4 Screw Frame (Civil War) , 44 cal Bore Exc, Mech Exc tight crisp action, Original wood grips near Exc with cartouche and excellent wood to metal fit. Has the original 8”barrel with Exc one line address marking. The frame has the Colts Patent marking on the left side. Serial# 38085 mfg’d 1863 all matching including the wedge. The cylinder has some border engraving remaining and VG patent and serial number. The brass triggerguard has an inspector marking S and has a brass patina finish. Metal overall has a dark aged brown patina finish with some fine pitting in the muzzle area and has a original german silver front sight blade. Has excellent nipples.
