FINE CONDITION REMINGTON MODEL 25 .25-20 PUMP RIFLE, #30XXX. Compared to other models, the pump action takedown M-25 was only produced from 1923-1935 in .25-20 and .32-20 calibers when, like so many models, was discontinued by the awful economic conditions of the Great Depression. This example retains nearly all the blue on the receiver, barrel and magazine tube. There is some age to the blue with some very minor plum/brown mixing on the bottom of the mag tube and on the receiver top. The forend is excellent. The stock retains the original crescent butt plate with the Remington/UMC stampings in the middle. The stock shows only light handling with a couple of nearly invisible hairline stress/age cracks coming back from the receiver on the right side for an inch or so. Tight takedown and action. Bright excellent sharp bore. Exc. markings and original buckhorn rear sight with elevator bar intact and original small blade/bead front sight. These don’t show up often now and this is a nice one.
