Description:
Fabrique Nationale Trombone takedown pump action rifle in 22 L with a 22" barrel. The Trombone got its nickname because the magazine tube moves with the slide. About 150,000 were manufactured between 1922 and 1974. The top of the barrel is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE-HERSTAL-BELGIQUE / BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". The left side of the barrel is marked .22 L with Belgian proof/inspection marks. Belgian proof marks are also found on the left side of the receiver, and on the bolt. The front sight is a beaded blade dovetailed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a "V"-notch latter assembly dovetailed to the rear of the barrel. The stocks are two-piece walnut with a grooved forend, round knob pistol grip, straight comb and smooth steel buttplate. This rifle still retains its original blue finish, an excellent bore, and good mechanics. Serial 109307. .22 Long

Metal Condition: "The metal surfaces shows various stages of finish wear and aging. There is scattered light finish wear and surface oxidation. There are some light nicks, scuffs and scratches. The action shows operational wear.
Wood Condition: "The stocks show scattered nicks, scuffs and scratches. There is some scattered finish aging on the forend. The bottom of the stock has a small crack at the tang.
Bore Condition: Excellent bright bore.
Barrels: 22" barrel.
Triggers: Single trigger.
Stock Dimensions:
LOP 13.75".
Fore End: Grooved forend.
Butt Pad: Metal.
Sights: Adjustable.
