This Aguirre y Aranzabal (AYA) Model Nº 53 is a traditional sidelock side-by-side shotgun chambered in 20 gauge, featuring 26-inch barrels with fixed cylinder and fixed modified chokes. Weighing 6.4 pounds with a 13 5/8-inch length of pull, and a 2 3/4-inch chamber, this Spanish double balances beautifully in the hands and reflects the refined craftsmanship AYA is known for. It is equipped with a custom single trigger, automatic ejectors, straight walnut English grip, splinter walnut forend, custom sling and swivel mounts, and a white fully engraved action. The documented manufacture date is March of 1972, and the shotgun comes housed in an AYA custom leather-covered presentation case. The gun remains in excellent condition and represents a classic example of fine European gunmaking.
