Description: The Model 37 is a John Browning design, first marketed by Remington. When the patent ran out in 1937, Ithaca started the production. They managed to lighten the shotguns to the point where the pump could be carried quite easily. They were known for their weight and the speed with which they could come on target. In addition, the bottom eject was something of a phenomenon as it was the only repeating shotgun that was truly ambidextrous. Most were right-handed, and some were left-handed, but the Ithaca was the one that people could trade back and forth. In the day, Ithaca claimed that none of their 37s left the factory if it didn't group five slugs to a 5-inch group at 100 yards. 12 Gauge SOLD Chambers: "4+1 (unplugged) 12 gauge, 2-3/4 or 3-inch Metal Condition: Very good.
