Wonderful, no excuse, high original condition and fully matching late World War II P.38 made by Mauser in 1944.

Description:

Standard configuration Mauser P.38 manufactured in 1944 (byf 44 code), cal. 9mmP, SN: 6957v. This DA semi-automatic pistol has a 5" barrel, fixed front/rear sights, and bottom magazine release. The left side of the slide is marked "P.38" with "byf" manufacturer code and "44" date code below. SN: "6957 v" appears on both slide and frame near the trigger guard area, repeated on barrel lug and matching on locking block. The right side of the slide with three proof marks including "Eagle/WaA135" acceptance. Black ribbed grips and blued magazine with 7 cartridge indicator holes, Mauser E/WaA135 acceptance on spine, and detachable floorplate.

Condition:

Bright 98+% bright original factory blue with very light holster wear in expected locations around muzzle, leading edge of slide, and top of the loaded indicator cover. Negligible thinning of front strap. Comparable condition grips and Mauser accepted magazine. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics.
