Winchester Model 70 SA Featherweight Classic Rifle chambered in .308 Winchester for Sale.
Excellent condition, limited usage.
Thinning out the collection of hunting rifles that have not been used in years. This particular hunting rifle has been called " The Finger of God" from friends that I have hunted with over the years & have witnessed its capabilities. Professionally worked on for the scope ring lapping and installation, trigger group work, pillar bedding & lapping of the barrel. This was purchased new by me in 2007 and has spent the better part of the past 19 years in a tempature controlled safe- pulled out periodically for a light oil and wipe down with a silicone cloth. This was among the last of the Winchester rifles from the New Haven, CT plant that were manufactured with American pride, prior to the tumultuous plant closing.
This rifle has a Bushnell Elite 4200 3x9x40 RainGuard scope that has been exceptional- great Japanese glass!

Like the original Featherweight, the angled comb Grade I walnut stock still features the Schnabel fore-end and satin finish with elegant cut checkering. A premium Pachmayr® Decelerator® pad helps soak up felt recoil.
