Description:
"Serial No. 4401, manufactured in 1878, chambered in 11mm with a 33 ½" round barrel. Bore is excellent with strong, well-defined rifling. Serial numbers are matching throughout with the exception of the bolt. The butt plate is unit marked “76.R./R./256," adding attractive regimental character. Barrel and receiver have aged to an even grey patina while retaining sharp and clearly defined factory markings. The stock has been lightly refurbished and shows light handling impressions consistent with its age and military service, remaining solid and well-presented. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
