Description:
General Specs: Beretta, 1944, .380ACP, 23oz. 3 1/2"
Serial Number:  F44079

Vintage firearms is pleased to offer this Second World War Era Italian handgun. The baretta Model 1934 was adopted by Italian police officers and the Royal Italian Army in 1934, serving as the standard issue sidearm, issued to machine gun crews and officers. This example, serial number F44079, produced 1944, evidenced by the 1944XXI on the left side, featuring the co-official year systems under Mussolini, the Julian calendar and the Era Fascista. Model 1934s produced between 1922 and 1945 had the Julian year in Arabic numerals followed by the Era Fascista year in Roman numerals in accordance with Italian law. There are the remains of an acceptance, showing what looks to be part of a crown and “R”. Model 1934s were stamped RE for army, RA for air force, or RM for navy, indicating the branch of service it was issued to. This Beretta has been professionally restored and shows 99% finish. This is a fine little handgun produced by the world’s oldest firearm manufacturer and would make a great addition to any World War 2 or Beretta collection and a fun shooter too!
