Rarely seen maker of rifles, shotguns and pistols before the Civil War and also a contractor to the Confederacy and the state of North Carolina converting flintlock military firearms to percussion during the war. All original and complete in good condition. Walnut stock with brass trigger guard, ramrod pipes, butt plate and side plate. Pewter forend cap and coin silver oval wedge escutcheons. Double set triggers. Original wood ramrod. Double triggers in working order. Original old metal patina with moderate pitting on barrel and lock. Wood with the original finish.
