This J. Stevens Arms Visible Loading Repeater is commonly known as the Model 70 or Visible Loader, and is a historic pump action repeating rifle chambered in .22 S,L,LR. Produced by the J. Stevens Arms Co. of Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts from 1908-1934, this affordable rimfire rifle features a distinctive tubular magazine design where the cartridge loading and feeding process is visibly exposed during operation. Despite its innovative "visible loading" mechanism and widespread popularity - selling over 100,000 units, this collectible firearm represents an early 20th century approach to economical multi-caliber .22 rimfire repeater for plinking and small game use.
