An antique flintlock boot pistol of unknown manufacture, chambered in approximately .48 caliber and configured with a folding trigger mechanism. The barrel measures about 2 inches in length and is constructed without sights. The pistol features metal components showing an aged gray patina consistent with its period. The lock mechanism is flintlock type, and the overall form is compact, typical of boot or pocket pistols from the era.
The folding trigger is missing, leaving the action nonfunctional. The bore shows darkening and residue typical of age and past use. The wooden grip is carved with a floral motif and remains intact, with no visible cracks or chips described. The firearm bears no serial number or maker’s marks, and its surfaces display uniform age-related patina across exposed metal areas.
