Used; Circa 1907 ; SN 288,4XX; Colt Bisley Model Revolver Marked in .38 Colt Caliber; however the cylinder has been changed or re-bored to .38 Special; it will still accept and fire .38 Long- or Short Colt cartridges; 5½ Inch Barrel; Faux Ivory Grips; Nickel Plated. This gun is tight and perfectly functioning with a bright bore and sharp rifling that did not photograph well. Top of Barrel has 2-Line Colt Address with “(Bisley Model)” and 38 COLT on the Left Side. The plating is bright on all parts: Barrel, Cylinder, Ejector Tip and Housing, Base Pin, Backstrap, Hammer, Trigger and Trigger Guard – except for the frame, which shows a fairly even worn, satin-like finish that we cannot explain. The Rear Cylinder Face bears a Rampant Colt stamp. Owing to the unusual finish, condition is best judged from the photos. Please ask any questions or request additional information before purchase as this item will be troublesome and costly to return owing to CA re-registration and other regulations.
