Description:
1927 PARKER BROS. Trojan Grade 12ga SxS - 28" BARRELS - #2 Frame - MIRROR BORES - TIGHT ACTION - C&R   Detailed Description: For sale is a classic, mid-production 1927 Parker Brothers Trojan Grade 12-gauge side-by-side double-barreled shotgun—serial number 222392 (matching on water table, barrel flats, and fore-end iron).
This is a genuine piece of American firearms royalty. While the Trojan was Parker’s "entry-level" model, it was built with the same legendary "Old Reliable" action and precision as their high-grade custom guns. Produced in Meriden, CT, during the golden era of American doubles, this gun represents the rugged, no-nonsense craftsmanship that made Parker the most famous name in American shotguns.   Key Features & Specs:   Gauge: 12   Production Date: 1927   Frame Size: #2 Frame (The robust, standard-weight frame for the 12-gauge).
Barrels: 28" Trojan Steel fluid steel barrels (Original length, NOT cut).   Chokes: Fixed Modified/Full (Standard field configuration for 28" barrels).   Action: Boxlock with double triggers and mechanical extractors. Lock-up is tight as a drum with the top lever sitting right of center—indicating very little wear.   Receiver: Clean, classic Trojan styling with "Parker Bros" stamped on the sides. No engraving, highlighting the sleek, functional lines of the steel.   Stock & Forend: American Walnut with original factory checkering; pistol grip and original Parker Brothers hard rubber buttplate.   Markings: Barrel rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. TROJAN STEEL." Barrel flats show weight stamp "4 12" (4 lbs 12 oz barrel weight).   Weight: Approx. 7.5 lbs.   Condition Notes:   Metal: Original finish with an honest, attractive silver-gray patina on the receiver. Barrels show original thinning blue with typical field wear, minor freckling, and light surface marks consistent with a 100-year-old hunting companion.   Wood: Original walnut stocks are solid with no apparent cracks. Checkering shows expected minor smoothing from decades of use; includes original buttplate and grip cap.   Bores: Mirror Bores. Bores are bright and shiny with no significant pitting.   C&R eligible. This is a fantastic "Shooter’s Parker." Whether you are looking for a vintage double for upland birds or a foundational piece for an American shotgun collection, this Trojan is a workhorse that handles like a dream.   Terms & Conditions: No trades.
