Description:
The Smith & Wesson Model 1 is a seven-shot, single-action revolver chambered in .22 Short. It features a spur trigger and a 3.125-inch solid rib barrel fitted with fixed sights. This early top-hinge design represents one of Smith & Wesson’s small-frame tip-up revolvers produced in the 19th century. The revolver shows a uniform brownish-gray patina across its metal surfaces, consistent with age and use. Serial number markings identify this piece as number 107851.

The revolver is used and retains its original smooth wood grips, which display scratches and small dents from handling. The bore condition is described as good, showing visible rifling and a clean interior with noticeable shine. The mechanical action cycles properly in single-action mode, and the spur trigger operates within the expected range of motion for this model. Overall surface wear reflects the firearm’s antique status and long-term preservation rather than recent use.

No accessories or additional components are included beyond the revolver itself. The firearm’s configuration consists solely of its factory barrel, frame, cylinder, and grips. All markings, finish tone, and mechanical characteristics correspond to the standard production features of the Model 1 chambered in .22 Short with a seven-shot cylinder. This revolver stands as a representative example of early Smith & Wesson manufacturing from the period when metallic cartridge revolvers first became widely available.
