Here is another Civil War vintage Austrian Garibaldi Rifled Musket in .71. While these rifles were designed for a special conical bullet, good accuracy can be achieved with a .690ish round ball and thick patch to engage the 12 groove rifling. Based on its raised front sight and replacement ramrod, I suspect that this particular rifle saw some use in N-SSA competition, but I have no proof of this. This example is in overall good antique condition, with solid stock and no exterior pitting to speak of. The bore had been rusty, but an overnight soak with Evaporust and a good scrubbing left it shiny. There are still pits, but nithing left to snag patches. Rifling remains very good. $850 + Shipping.
