Description:
The Model 88 was Marlin's first tubular magazine fed gun. It was introduced in 1948 but didn't catch on like they hoped, largely due to some quirks with the magazine tube that fed through the butt plate. It was discontinued in 1956. This example is in above average condition for its age. The blue finish looks good with only minor wear. The wood is also good, with some of the normal kinds of dings and nicks you'd expect to find on a gun like this. The front sight bead does appear to have been knocked off center just a little bit, but that should be easy to compensate for with a windage adjustment. No box or case is included. .22 Long Rifle
