Marlin Model 39A serial number H10322, made in 1951, with the scarce Peanut Grip Cap that was offered only for 1951 and 1952 as a way for a purchaser to customize the rifle with his or her intials in the peanut, so this is a "first year" rifle; otherwise standard for this year of manufacture, with 24" round barrel, full magazine with brass inner loading tube, ramped/hooded front sight, open rear sight, plain walnut stocks, blued trigger, trademark Bullseye in toe line of butt stock, white line spacers in between grip cap and stock and butt plate and stock, semi beavertail fore arm, blued finish, receiver factory drilled/tapped/plugged for receiver peep sight and scope mount, lever action with half cock safety, cartridge capacity 25 short, 21 long, 18 long rifle.

CONDITION: Overall barrel and mag tube bluing 85%, having some light pinprick surface spotting that should clean off. Receiver 90% bright original blue. NOTE bolt is missing. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, never sanded or refinished, still tight and proud, with normal usage marks only. The main spring is strong, providing a properly working half cock safety. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling, rated at a 9.5 of 10. This is a scarce rifle that once completed with a bolt will gain value over time as JM-marked Marlin prices are continually skyrocketing, and it should make a fun shooter/hunter as well! Or, separate out for parts if that's your wish.

TERMS: Must ship to FFL dealer or C&R licensee. New York State buyers must have the item ship to an FFL dealer only, no C&R. Sold as is with no return privilege so ask questions before purchasing. Payment by personal check, bank check, or USPS money order only, sorry no credit cards, no electronic payments. Once it's complete, have a competent gunsmith give it a clean bill of health before using as it can't test-fired in its current condition. Packed with great care to survive the trip. Ships by FedEx Ground with tracking.
