Winchester Model 92 SRC in caliber 38 WCF aka 38-40, one of the most accurate calibers Winchester produced and one of my personal favorites, serial number 922826 indicates 1923 production, standard saddle ring carbine with 20" round barrel, full magazine, steel carbine butt, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, blued finish, post front sight, and carbine ladder rear sight marked "0" to "20" with the tiny set screw missing in the upper end.
CONDITION: Overall barrel and mag tube bluing 80%. Receiver has flaked to gray with traces of blue on the upper tang and indication of it having a tang peep sight at one time. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, never sanded or refinished, still tight and proud, having that beautiful reddish Winchester tint and exhibiting light usage marks only, the butt stock having one "achievement" notch cut in it right behind the lower tang. Action is butter-smooth with a properly working half cock safety. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling, rated at a 9.75 of 10. This is an excellent Model 92 carbine that will gain value over time and make a fun shooter/hunter as well!
