Famous as the arms converted for the Fenian Brotherhood who were planning an invasion of Canada as a support for Irish independence from Great Britain in the post Civil War era. Rifled 37” round .58 centerfire caliber barrel with side opening breech conversion. Original front and rear sights. All original and complete. Lock stamped forward of the hammer “BRIDESBURG/1862”. Very good overall with crisp dark grey/black metal and stock with the original finish. Working order and very good bore. Rarely seen conversion with Irish historical relevance. $1200.
