Browning Light Twelve semi-automatic shotgun.
Made in Belgium.
12 gauge, 2 3/4" chamber.
Manufactured in 1960. Serial number 0G84871.
This gun is in good overall condition for its age. It has bluing loss on the receiver and barrel as well as some carry wear and speckling.
The wood is in good condition with scattered nicks and dings throughout the stock and forearm. There is finish wear on the forearm and grip area. The forearm had three very small < 3/4" long cracks near the receiver end that have been repaired/touched up and are solid. Length of pull is roughly 14.25" to factory FN horn buttplate.
This gun has been carried and hunted and is no safe queen. It sports a 20" vent rib barrel with a cylinder bore and no bead/sight. The open bore makes for a fast spreading pattern that is deadly on close game birds.
It operates and functions as it should and shoots well. All friction rings and washer are present.
A solid hunting piece that begs to be taken afield with its quick handling and manuverability.
