Description:
Springfield Model U.S. Rifle "Danish Return Rifle" M1 Garand is a right-hand semi-auto U.S. Military rifle in .30-06 Springfield. This rifle has a IHC/SA "Postage Stamp" receiver. After WWII, 20,000 Garands were loaned to the Danish military. In 1998, about 17,000 of these were returned to the US Army. While in Denmark, this rifle was fitted with a VAR (Vaabenarsenalet) Danish barrel dated 2-57. The VAR barrels are considered to be accurate and desired by match shooters. Denmark designated the M1 rifle as "7.62mm Gevaer M/50" (model 50). It has a 24-inch barrel. A blade front sight with protective sides and an adjustable aperture rear sight. The butt stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip. The forearm is smooth two-piece hardwood. MW: 4 TE: 3. No box. .30-06 Springfield
