Offered for sale is a very high condition Colt M1911A1 made in 1943. All original parkerezed finish rates excellent. All the proper parts and features are present. Milled trigger, checkered slide stop and checkered arched MSH. Slide is numbers matching. The COLT 45 Auto marked barrel is also stamped with the proper G over N that was only used for a short time. The pistol has been shot but not carried much at alll. The bore has defined lands and groves however does show evidence of being shot and not cleaned of the wartime corrosive ammo. The pistol shows no signs of typical military holster wear. These early and mid wartime Colts with numbered slides are what most collectors want. Correct wide ring Coltwood grips. All blued CR marked Colt contractor magazine is mint. Overall a tough to beat example.
