This is a pre-owned Smith & Wesson Model 640 Classic, a concealed-hammer (DAO) stainless steel J-frame revolver chambered in .357 Magnum (also fires .38 Special +P). It represents the desirable early-style .357 configuration (no visible internal lock, consistent with 640-1 characteristics) and is beautifully enhanced with factory diamond-tipped machine scroll engraving – intricate floral/vine patterns on the frame, side plate, cylinder flutes, and barrel.
This engraved variant stands out as a collectible piece, combining the classic J-frame design with elegant factory embellishments that elevate it beyond standard production models.
