Description:
This is a Paul Jaeger Custom Mauser in .270 Winchester with a 26" barrel. Paul Jaeger was an American-born, German trained gunsmith that opened a shop in Jenkintown, PA just after WWII and built custom guns there until his retirement in 1977. This is one of his custom shop Mauser's with a 26" heavy sporter barrel marked "P Jaeger Phila. Pa" on the top. The scope base and rings are made by Redfield. The stock is a one piece checkered walnut with beavertail forend, caped pistol grip, shadow line cheek piece, straight comb, and a checkered steel butt plate. .270 Winchester

Metal Condition: "The finish rates about 90% with mostly fine scratches and high edge wear. No dings, dents, or deep scratches.
Wood Condition: "Minor compression marks, dings, and scratches. The checkering remains in good shape. Overall the stock rates about 80%.
Bore Condition: Bright bore with strong rifling.
Barrels: 26" barrel.
Triggers: Double set triggers.
