Offered for sale is a Colt Model 1903 New Army revolver chambered in .41 Long Colt, manufactured in 1904 per Colt serial lookup.
This is a commercial (non-U.S. military marked) example with a 6" barrel and original hard rubber grips featuring the Colt pony logo. Serial number 229453.
Overall condition is approximately 80–85% original blue. The revolver shows honest age and use, with evidence of prior light surface rust that was cleaned at some point in its history. There are visible cosmetic scratch marks and areas of light scrubbing on the frame, but the majority of original finish remains. All markings are clear and legible.
The bore and chambers are clean. The revolver locks up properly and times correctly in both single and double action. The hand and hand spring have been replaced with new reproduction parts to ensure proper function and carry-up. Lockup is solid at hammer fall on all chambers. The original factory hand (with broken spring) will be included with the sale.
This is a sound, functional early 20th century Colt double action revolver in the less commonly encountered .41 Long Colt chambering. A good representative example for a Colt collection.
