For your consideration, the Colt U.S. Army Model of 1917 revolver chambered in .45 ACP. The 1917 revolver was made to supplement the the 1911 during World War 1. Both Smith & Wesson and Colt produced these revolvers for the war. Essentially taking their heavy framed revolvers and adapting them to fire the .45 ACP cartridge. Manufactured in 1920. .45 ACP
