SUPERIOR CONDITION MODEL 1897 ROLLING BLOCK MILITARY RIFLE IN 7MM MAUSER CALIBER. This example is one of the best I’ve seen as it retains about all the case color on the receiver and factory blue on the hammer and breechblock. Excellent blue on the barrel and even retains good blue on the barrel bands. Cleaning rod intact as is the original military style ladder rear sight with slide. Very tight action, exc. bright bore, excellent markings including the tang markings with the last patent date of 1897. Wood is not sanded or refinished and is solid and sound showing only the lightest of handling marks in the butt stock. It would be hard to find a better one.
