Superb Italian Made Model 1894 .45 Colt Lever Rifle
Offered here for sale and just acquired is a very attractive faithful rendition of the classic Winchester Model 1894 lever rifle which appears to be in UNFIRED condition.
This specimen, serial number is 1185 it appears to have a stamped catalog number CAT9740 and DEF. It was made by Armi San Marco in Italy. 24" octagon barrel. Case color hardened receiver and buttplate. Chambered for .45 COLT cartridge. Crescent buttplate.
It is an Italian reproduction built by Armi San Marco based in Brescia, Italy. The popular firm produced replica firearms — mostly Old West-style rifles and revolvers — for export mainly into the United States between about 1985 and 2004.
Italian replicas were commonly imported under various catalog and importer numbers (e.g., CAT9740), and often stamped with proof marks or codes indicating Italian proofing and the year of manufacture. This is typical on black powder or reproduction firearms coming from Italian proof houses.
It was likely late 1980s or early 1990s given the low serial number . Chambered for .45 Colt . Appears unused, with just a couple of storage marks.
A very attractive rifle which would appeal to any Winchester collector or shooting enthusiast.
