Ruger® designed the LC9s® Semi-Auto Pistol specifically to function with the 9x19mm cartridge. The LC9s is simple and instinctive to use in stressed situations, utilizing a striker-fired mechanism, with a short, light, crisp trigger pull. Safety features include: an integrated trigger safety, a manual thumb safety, a magazine disconnect, and a loaded chamber indicator. The pistol‚s frame is constructed with glass-filled nylon with an aluminum insert; and the grip is checkered to provide a solid, non-slip hold. The slide is made from hardened alloy steel with a matte black finish, and the slide‚s sharp edges have been removed for enhanced concealability. Low profile, 3-dot, steel front and rear sights are dovetailed to the slide; the rear sight being drift adjustable. The lightweight, compact design of the Ruger LC9s and its ultra reliability make it an ideal semi-auto pistol for concealed carry, that‚s comfortable to carry all day and quick to deploy. The Ruger LC9s uses all existing LC9® accessories including lasers, holsters, and extended 9-round magazines.
