Japanese Arisaka Type 99 Rifle – WWII – 7.7×58 Arisaka – Intact Chrysanthemum – AA Rear Sight – Stock Crack
For sale is a Japanese Arisaka Type 99 bolt-action service rifle (???), the standard Japanese infantry rifle of WWII, typically chambered in 7.7×58 Arisaka. This example retains desirable early/mid-war features, including the flip-up anti-aircraft lead arms on the rear sight and an intact imperial chrysanthemum (“mum") on the receiver—both of which add collector interest.
Condition: Military surplus condition with finish wear/patina and handling marks consistent with age. Important: the buttstock has a clear crack/split (shown in photos). Because of the crack, this rifle is best viewed as a collector/display piece or a repair project. Sold as-is due to age and condition.
