Description:
Serial #3812, .22 LR, 20 inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Zephyr model bolt action, magazine fed rifle manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch A.G. in Austria in 1968. With total model production of only a few thousand this scarce example features the double set triggers and full Mannlicher stock. In excellent plus condition the metal surfaces show virtually all, 99% plus original blue finish. The full length, checkered Mannlicher stock is likewise excellent plus with only extremely minor handling marks and sports the original leather sling. It comes with integral optics mounting slots that do not appear to have ever had one attached and is equipped with the two leaf rear and hooded bead front sights. The action functions smoothly with an extremely light set trigger. It comes with the original magazine. A near perfect example of the very desirable first version of the Zephyr rifle with the best optional features that were offered. FFL or C&R
