Description:
Price reduction on 3/12/26....Available for sale is an overall good condition 1904 SMLE MkI* upgraded to MkI*** 303 rifle.
Likely issued to Ireland with an ER-prefix serial number.
It was converted to a G-Prefix Serial number or Grenade rifle.
Serial numbers on receiver and front bayonet lug/nosecap are matching with a G-2160 serial number.
Rifle has a 25” barrel. Bore shows some corrosion, but lands and grooves are strong and pronounced.
HV is marked under rear site to mean “High Velocity” ammunition.
Stock wood does show file marks where the grenade wiring was in place but then removed at some point in time.
Initials of TF are carved in left side of buttstock.(See Pics). There are a few cartouche marks on stock as can be seen in pics.
Rear sight knobs are intact and made of bone. Rear volley sight aperture may be missing.
Magazine cut-off has been removed. Safety may have been modified as well.
Bolt head charger guide in place.
