Description:
This is a 1st Gen Colt Bisley Model in .38-40 WCF with a 4 3/4" barrel. Serial 319820 was shipped on October 18, 1911 to a hardware store in Oklahoma City as stated in the colt letter. The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.". The left side of the barrel is marked "BISLEY MODEL 38 W.C.F.". The left side of the frame is marked with the Colt patent dates "PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871 / JULY 2, 72 JAN. 19, 75" with the Rampant Colt logo in a circle. The rear of the loading gate is marked "105". The bottom of the frame, trigger guard, and bottom of the grip frame are marked "319820". The front sight is a blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a groove in the top strap. The grips are two-piece black hard rubber with checkering and the Rampant Colt logo at the top of each panel. This revolver includes a Colt letter dated March 22, 1982. .38-40 WCF

Metal Condition: The finish shows various stage of age and wear with trace amounts of finish left.
Wood Condition: The grips show wear on the checkering pints. No gouges.
Bore Condition: "The rifling is weak, but visible. The bore also shows pitting in the rifling (see pictures).
Barrels: 4 3/4" barrel.
Triggers: Single action trigger.
Sights: Fixed.
