Description:
The Nylon 66 was developed in the late 1950s during a time when Remington was a part of DuPont Corporation. As part of the corporate strategy, Remington was on a cost-cutting program and DuPont was looking for new markets for plastics. The Remington people turned the DuPont people onto developing a structural [plastic that could be used in firearms. The result was Delrin "doped" with Nylon fibers. It was not the first firearm with synthetic parts, but it was certainly successful and paved the way for plastic (in) guns. This one is the tube fed version in Apache Black and Chrome. There is a little pitting on the receiver cover plate, but otherwise is in marvelous condition. .22 Long Rifle

Wood Condition: Very good to excellent. The plastic is scratched some.
