Description:
The J.C. Higgins Model 50 rifle, chambered in .30-06 Springfield, was a product of the early 1950s, created by the Sears and Roebuck Co. This rifle was built on genuine commercial Mauser actions by FN and marketed by Sears, Roebuck and Co. The Model 50 featured several high-end components, including a genuine commercial Mauser 98 type action, a chrome-lined barrel from High Standard, and a walnut stock. It was designed for blue-collar riflemen and was sold for significantly less than most of the prominent good-quality hunting rifles of the era. The rifle was known for its reliability and accuracy, and it was a popular choice among the company's historical core of rural and working-class consumers. .30-06 Springfield
