The Smith & Wesson Model 586 is a double-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. This example features a 6 inch barrel and a six round cylinder, configured on a steel frame with a black finish. The Model 586 belongs to Smith & Wesson’s L frame series, designed for the .357 Magnum cartridge and built to handle sustained firing with a heavier frame and full length barrel underlug.
Manufactured in 1983, the revolver shows use consistent with its age. The black finish covers both the frame and barrel, and the six shot cylinder retains the same finish for a uniform appearance. The 6 inch barrel length provides a longer sight radius and balances the revolver’s weight across the frame. Standard double action and single action operation allow for both rapid firing and precise trigger control. This Model 586 is in excellent condition and is a collectable “no dash” original model from 1983!
Included with the revolver is a Bucheimer leather holster. The holster is designed to fit the 6 inch barrel configuration of the Model 586 and provides carry and storage capability. No additional accessories or packaging are noted beyond the revolver and holster.
